Mentor Coaching for an ICF Credential consists of coaching and feedback in a collaborative, appreciative and dialogued process based on an observed or recorded coaching session to increase the coach’s capability in coaching, in alignment with the ICF Core Competencies.
International Coach Federation
Mentoring provides professional assistance in achieving and demonstrating the levels of the ICF coaching competencies and capability demanded by the desired credential level.
Coaches who are preparing for their Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential attainment or renewal are required to have 10 hours of mentor coaching.
Coaches who are preparing for their Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential may CHOOSE to use a mentor coach to receive feedback on their coaching using the PCC markers. This strengthens their abilities to prepare for the assessment of their recorded coaching calls by ICF.
We are PCC-credentialed coaches through the ICF. We are Professional Mentor Coaches, who are PCC Assessors, and have experience in providing new and experienced coaches with feedback on their coaching skills and how they align with the ICF coaching competencies. We help coaches with their ICF renewal and attainment of their PCC and ACC credentials.
We learn more when we come together to collaborate and to share ideas. We want community that can challenge our thinking, spark new ideas of how and whom to coach, and provide insights. Leaders Lab brings coaches together in learning.
We support the ongoing learning and development of coaches through speaking at ICF chapter events and hosting alumni events.
We stay sharp! We read, we listen, we get coached, mentored and supervised, and we take classes and get certifications. Our ongoing professional development is at the forefront of what we do. We are ICF Prairie chapter members and former chapter Presidents and believe in the importance of being involved in your profession. We are Professional Certified Coaches (PCC) through ICF.
